I'm sitting here, in this chair. I exist. My eyes fixate mechanically to a point on the floor. I am only slightly conscious of my body, tired, drooping. My mind is blank...tired. Dutifully it records the events around me, ambient sights and sounds and vibrations. The slowly drifting air currents that stir and swirl around my body. I look up to make brief contact with the souls that stride past. Their penetrant, accusing stares are stored, but do not visibly register on my face.
